• Velika planina - - Velika planina is a plateau on the south side of the central part of the Kamnik Alps. Architectural characteristic are chalets with oval roofs which are stretching right to the ground. The plateau is easly accessible from Kamnik via 'Sv. Primož' or with the cable lift from Kamniška Bistrica. Velika planina is during winter a tourist and ski center.

• Franciscan monastery and the church of the St. Jacob - Church of the St. Jacob was built in 1492. Founders of the Franciscan monastery were count Hohenwart and count Thurn. The Church and monastery were rebuilt in baroque style in 1695-1703. The chapel of the Holy Sepulchre was renewed in 1956 by the architect Jože Plečnik in his typical style. The last renovation was in 1992. In the monastery is a very valuable library, which was founded in 1627. There was a Franciscan school and also a primary school.

• Arboretum Volčji potok - Volčji Potok Arboretum is the most frequently visited botanical park (arboretum) in Slovenia. Visitors from all parts of Europe came to this place to be fascinated by millions of spring flowers every year. The park spreads on eighty hectares of ecologically diversified ground which is occupied by about 2.500 taxons (species?) of trees and shrubs. The plant collection has been thoughtfully designed as a landscape park. Arboretum was declared as a cultural monument of the highest importance in 1999. This place is interesting in every season of the year: people come here for walks in early spring to enjoy the nature's colorful waking, on hot days to find delight in charming gaily colored flower beds, in autumn to find peace and solitude and make use of the last warm sunshine rays, and finally they come in winter to pay attention to things not noticed earlier...
